On December 4, 2023, I gave a final presentation of insights and steps forward for my project. Please find the slides below. The semester did not go to plan, largely due to me and my collaborator pivoting at a moment's notice to give the appropriate capacity to supporting Palestinians as more news about the genocide continues. It is not the time for business as usual, but rather time for rapid response and time to help with long-term community actions. With that and very recent resistance to ongoing artist boycotts in New London, it is a time to regroup and figure out how I can best help with logistics and outreach. I have volunteered at zine events and helped to co-organize existing annual events, but not organizing a new event. I continue to be shaped by the zinesters and organizers around me and hope to particpate more in this process as an artist, as well. School has made it very difficult to write creatively, but this is another part of the process that can continue long after the semster ends. Gaining community trust to host a well-attended zine fair is worth the time it takes.
